Grassington, Wharfedale: River meadows south of village or head upstream to Ghaistrill’s Strid, a series of cascades and rapids.

Richmond, Swaledale: Follow river path upstream from old bridge on Bridge Street for three quarters of a mile for a nice pool. Or head downstream, beneath the castle, for waterfalls.

N York Moors: Gormire Lake, down path from top of Sutton Bank; Thomason Foss Fall, Eller Beck, approached from Beck Hole pub; Falling Foss at Ruswarp, in woods by cottage at Midge Hall.
